Confession...

About 35 years ago while in CA I saw a bunch of nickel 38 Super Colts in a shop that had come from Mexico. Don't know if they were cop trade ins or private guns taken from owners. They were really rough.
Some wore pewter grips with floral or other fancy designs. I confess they appealed to me. Normally my tastes in guns are more sophisticated but the nickel Super with the outlandish grips spoke to me. For years I wanted a nickel Super and a couple months ago I bought (RIA not Colt but close enough) and yesterday I bought some silver plated engraved pewter grips similar to what I saw 35 years ago. Some Mexican guy in Texas still makes and sells them. Oh man will the gun look gaudy. Just what I wanted. Will post a photo when they arrive. There will be a warning to not look if you cringe at the thought.

i am 50 yrs old and have to confess that last night my kids (and wife?![:0]) had to show me how to roll a smoke with one of those lil thumb roller thingies [:I]
(we will pretend they learned such an art rolling CIGARETTES, lol)
guess that helps clear any suspicions of how i spent the '70s huh?
honestly, i have smoked since the 3rd grade, cigs, cigars and pipe, but never had reason to roll anything
after a good evening laughing at my attempts, smoking a lil homegrown tobacco from my garden patch, passing it around like it really WAS a party, the wife surprised me today with a "Gambler" stuffer and a box of filtered tubes!
guess i will keep her after all!
just cant wait till the "good" leaves start getting ripe![:p]

Are you confessing to liking the silvered grips or to wanting to dress up like a Mexican pimp? [:D] [;)]
