Never heard of this before but it's a real deal. They are farming pizzas along the Mississippi River in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Some local authorities tried to stop it here and there. But them pizza farmers were too smart and too tough for local government. They improvised, adapted and overcome the zoning boards. Went right on farming them pizzas.

Last fall I drove from Minneapolis down to Winona, WI to pick up my hunting buddies and from there out to Wyoming. There were a number of places that looked very intriguing to stop and eat, but we had very little time. Cant wait to make that trip again with a little more free time!!

There is a fad for everyone, I guess.

these guys are suppose to be really good , here's their info

    http://www.bluegoosepizza.com/

    The Blue Goose

    S2106 24 Valley Road

    La Farge, WI 54639

    608-625-4335
    gooser@bluegoosepizza.com

    couple reviews about them >>>>>

We have eaten there many times. Their pizza is wickedly good, and the Maple Crest ice creams are great too. Best to call ahead for a table because on the weekends you will have to be super lucky to get a table without a reservation. The owners are great people and Bill has a museum across the street with some really cool stuff inside. My grade is an A plus for the Goose. >>>>>

It's close to bike and horse trails on the reserve. We get ice cream and/or pizza every time we ride the bike trail>>>>>>

That place has better pizza than anywhere!

    I'm all over that idea!!!

I could claim harvest problems, interest on the John Deer's, deprecation of equipment, the taxes on the land and buildings,
floods, droughts, and lastly get a government bailout when I don't
    cook my pizzas right.

I could pocket $300,000 a year for not making pizza.

According to a certain young lady I know to farm pizza's you start with those small frozen pizza rolls from the supermarket. Plant them and avoid the temptation of picking the pizza buds too early so the plants will grow big.

I was about to offer a correction on her theory but she's just turned 16 and signs her text messages with a big smiley face ... sometimes with "HUGS!"

Yeah, can't argue that one. Plant them pizza rolls ... okay then! [:)]

When my boys were young and in 4H, they tended to a "pizza garden" my wife planted with them. After everything was harvested, we garnished several pizzas with the stuff they picked and had a party with the club. It was fun! I had forgotten all about it until now.
