At what it brought for its condition. I realize that it's a super grade and all, but wow. It's sure going to take some $$ to get it back into good condition, and it'll still be a re done rifle.

The original owner or owners ought to have their * kicked for neglect. There's no reason to let a gun get in that condition.

Not sure that's abuse but maybe just a lot of hunting in its 65 years. It would be nice to know its history. Africa plains rifle??
I was thinking maybe a lot of hard use and miles in a boat in Alaska.
I wish I had a rifle I made look like that. Think of all the fun you would have had.
