I used to live in Michigan before I moved to Texas. That first winter we had a frost. So we go out to the car and whip out the ice scraper to clear the windows. That's when we noticed the looks we were getting from all our neighbors who were trying to clean their windshields with credit cards, cardboard boxes, etc... They must have been thinking "what is that wonderful thing they have over there?".

By the way. Snow day here today. Couple of inches overnight. Things are completely nuts. I'm staying in until the roads are clear. Should be mostly clear by mid afternoon. 19 degrees here right now.[:D][8D]

Several years ago, I was in a meeting in Columbia, South Carolina when my cell phone rang, it was the tone for my wife's cell. I don't answer phones during meetings, but I excused myself, saying it was my wife.
So, I answer the phone and she says that there is 8 to 10 inches of snow( we're in SE/WI) and that the snow blower won't start.
I run her through the numbers, gas, choke, out of gear and then, what about the child safety key under the gas tank?
Yup, it wasn't pushed in all the way. So it starts and I hang up.
Of the 7 people in the meeting, 5 asked, "what is a snow blower?"

We're expecting up to 14" of "dust". The most dangerous part of snowstorms here are the southern drivers. I'm stayin' put.

One of my guys lives in Palmyra, WI and was at a trade show before Christmas. He came home to 10 inches of snow and was bitching about having to shovel the drive... WTH?? He said he broke his snow thrower at the end of spring when it sucked up a big rock and didnt get it fixed over the summer. [8]

Whooa. Multi vehicle crash in the snow closes Interstate for six hours. Where was that? Connecticut? Over 100 crashes more due to snow?
Is that in South or North Carolina? 2017-01-07-middletown-crash-i-91-54.jpg?w=650

Wow, not really a lot of snow it appears. Look at all those trucks. Must be a bunch of Southerners on their way to vacation destinations up North. Northerners know how to drive in the snow. Especially the libturd ones.
    Like hell.

I attempted to explain what a "tank heater" was to a southern mechanic.

After giving a detailed description and how it's plugged into a 110/120 volt outlet to heat the antifreeze in the engine there was dead silence ......... then the comment: "Aaww, your are shizting me"

    [:D]

My first Durango came from the factory with a block heater. I never used it of course.... I was always told they were to keep the oil warm enough to flow at startup.

Now you are just confusing the situation with Facts. [:0]

I've lived up North, and I've lived down South. (As well as out West etc. etc.)

Believe me when I tell you, there are more "Idiot" drivers up North than down South. (Except Atlanta. Sorry Capt.)

Been there done that. No thanks.
