I would rather spend my last dime on gas for a larger car. My life is not worth $$$

Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.
The one reason this three wheeler interests me is the high mpg, dry ride, and low buy-in cost, with a respectable safety score.
WHEN and IF this thing ever gets to market!
I have a 47 mile, 1 hr-10 min commute each-way, five days a week.
A vehicle that provides me an opportunity to get to work and then home on possibly the SAME GALLON OF GAS saves me real dollars.
A secondary interest is the manner in which a purchase is supposed to be able to be made...
A "credit card" can be issued to the purchaser to be used in buying gas for the vehicle. The vehicle uses less gas and therefore saves on gas purchases. The card is also used to pay for the vehicle. A monthly payment of two times the gas charges goes towards the purchase price and is added onto your monthly gas purchases being paid at the same time.
I normally spend upwards of $260 - $275/month on gas. The ELIO @75 mpg would cost me ~$54 in gas and consequently ~$108 in vehicle payment each month, for a total ~$162/monthly. That's a substantial savings of about $100/ month that I could use or apply to pay off the vehicle even quicker (36 months or so).
So, for approximately the same amount of money you would have paid on your 'normal' monthly gas bill, you can pay for gas AND the vehicle. Once the vehicle is "paid for" the monthly gas bill is reduced to actual gas usage. I should note that a minimum monthly vehicle payment is likely going to be added to the card. Very unique indeed.
I would bet that if this actually comes to pass, the big auto makers will be either forced to match or lose market share... Good for us the consumers. [^]

A guy I work with has paid the deposit well over a year ago and he's still waiting. He has a ranch and commutes about 80 miles each direction.
I do hope he realizes the opportunity to put rubber on the road.
I'd enjoy this for my rural area driving where I live out in the boon docks!
I would also use the back seat exclusively for my Golden Retriever "Corky" to ride in. He would insist on a wacky racer's neck scarf and goggles!
Have been considering buying a UTV or a gas powered jacked up golf cart for the last couple of years but if this car was a real option, for near the same money I'd jump on one. Paint it hunter orange![8D]

I see nothing that would make it at all desirable.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

Already comes in Orange... [;)]
They call it "Creamcicle".
But you can get most any color shade for a fee...
I'd rather have a Polaris Sling Shot:
@Yoshi: You referring to variants of the "Tuk-Tuks" found all over Asia, called that in Thailand? Too small for me!

Used to think it was neat. Too ugly now. Reminds me of a Saturn. [xx(]

Uhh....it's not enclosed for the weather, and it's probably (I'm guessing,) 19-21K.
Sporty yes.
Commuter, no.
