Best meatloaf recipe.
I've got my own. (On the fly.) Have not made it, in a while.
Had someone else's last night. Good, but not as good as my own.
I've got to make some of my own.
Please help, with recipes.
Thanks. [:D]

Get in car, drive to Mom's house, eat meatloaf, hug Mom, go back home.
Ditto, except I take home sufficient leftover meatloaf for sandwiches.
I always use what I have in stock and also like to experiment a bit with new and different herbs and spices.
The best ever meat loaf IMO was made with a combination of ground white tail venison, 1 Lb. along with 1 lb. of ground beef chuck, and a 1 Lb. tube of Jimmy Dean Savory Sage pork sausage.
I have to run away from my computer right now but will continue with this later. [:p]
Use Seasoned Contadina Breadcrumbs.
Plenty Worcestershire Sauce in the mix.
Liberal Salt. Liberal Fresh Ground Black Pepper.
Top with One: Heinz 57, A1, or HP Brown Sauce
Variations: #1:skip the Half BACON!, and, using Thick Farmers cut BACON!, Form a latticework cover (after the chosen Sauce-or delete the Sauce). #2:Lipton Onion Soup Mix instead of liberal Salting.
Bake the Free-form loaf on a bed of Stale Croutons, to be tossed after the cooking is done.

LOL, that is where I got my Meat Loaf from last night
I'm talking about making my own, you Heathens.
I like to cook. Like to eat well.
Give me some good recipes to go on, you Guys.
My best source.
Sad, but true. [:0] [B)][xx(]
I coulda' posted, "got me some big * Cherrystones." [xx(]
My meat loaf is great but I do not measure anything. I put stuff in and add until I think there is enough and then add a bit more.
Thanks.
My best source for a quality Meat Loaf recipe yet. [^]
Thank you very much. [V]

I may have to give it a try, it has some interesting and unconventional ingredients.
I used to love the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and brown gravy served at my high school cafeteria. Found out later they used Wheaties cereal for the bread filler in it.
What's wrong with that?? [B)][:0][:D]
You was eatin' healthy. [:D]
I'd be happy. (No not G a.y.) [^]
Nobody has talked about coating the top with Tomato paste.
What is wrong with you People??
Half Ground Chuck, Half Pork Sausage, and Half BACON!

"Half, half and a half?" [:D]
Uh, are you mathmatecaly challenged??
Your other % of ingredients is most suspect. [:p]
I was most pleased however to see you include Bacon as a topping.
(Although,) I am confused about the 1/2, 1/2 and 1)2 concentration of ingredients. [^]
Maybe I should be using 2/3, 2/3 and 2/3rd level. Wouldn't that make larger portions? [:0] I[:D][}:)]

Everybody knows it take 3 halves to make a whole.
Of course I adhere to the 1/2, 1/2 and 1/2 ratios. [:D]
She Who Must Be Obeyed ordered me to make a Meatloaf while she was otherwise occupied, and supplied me with her recipe. It called for Half Ground Chuck, and Half Sage Pork Sausage. After She had a slice, she asked me what I did to improve it. I told her the 1/2,1/2, plus 1/2 BACON. She makes it that way now!
Never, but NEVER Question the Engineer![:D]

That explains everything Handload.
I will still adhere to the 2)3, 2)3 and 2)3 ratio, as I prefer larger portions. [:D]
Please do not tell your Wife, I have improved upon her recipe.
I am not looking to disrupt the flow, of your relationship.

The Breakfast of Champions!
She had a big family to feed on a tight budget, so a couple cups of Quaker Oats were used to stretch more proportions.
Along with most of the other common ingredient's noted by most above she also would add 2 or 3 eggs to the mix, and a can of cream of mushroom soup.
She always made double loaves and topped them with ketchup before baking. [:p]
Then would make what she called "poor man's" gravy from the drippings.
Of coarse, cholesterol hadn't been invented yet, back in those good ole days![:)]
2 lbs. 400* for 1 hour. Drain grease)fat several times as needed.
20-30 minutes more at 350*.
What am I leaving out?
Once onto Dogs premium dried mix.
He loved it.
House smells great.
Good eats for days, and sliced sandwich fodder onto Premium deli sub type rolls/bread. Melted Provalone over sandwich. Mmmnnn.......
