I had some broccoli I'd forgotten about in my fridge. It was (ahem) past it's prime. I also had some left over Chinese food in the fridge. I steamed the broccoli, (3 large heads) and mixed it in with my Left over Chinese last night.

Don't do it.

My maternal grandmother would thank you for not being wasteful.

Some of my childhood memories of weekends with her if bread wasn't totally covered with it she would scrape mold off and make a sandwich with it. I leftovers in the fridge had fuzzy little specs she'd dip the specs off and put the remainder on the stove to heat.

I know science doesn't support it, but to this day I attribute my robust immune system to those days with Gramma.

You have to ingest a tape worm and give it some time to grow a bit before you can eat 3 week old road kill and wash it down with water out of the muddy Mississippi. [:D]

    Then you won't get sick.[:D]

Actually Science does support it. You can't build up an immunity if you are not exposed. I have had food poisoning several times. But think it would have been much worse if I had not grown up the way I did like you did.

Too bad a bigger and more expensive fridge won't make your food last any longer![V]

I have learned through a few bad digestive experiences that it is better to go to bed hungry than to stay awake all night sitting on the thrown!

Better to be a starving pauper than a royal pooper, eh!![:D]
