My next door neighbor and Buddy just called.
Another neighbor, (a jerk) just called him. Getting a few guns from his Dad.
My Bud is picking up an all #'s matching German K98k for $200. (Light surface rust.)
Also has a "Spanish Mauser" he will take $100 for.
Has an "1898 Swedish gun," (I was thinking K31,) but my Bud says it does not have the ring and straight pull back.
I will see them In about an hour.
Intrigued.
Thoughts??

When they need something Don.
My Bud knows this, and called me.
Nothing.
Only thing offered was an 1898 (same as a 1878) Swedish 8X54 rimfire in very rough condition for $125.
No thanks.
Kept the "Spanish Mauser," as a wall hanger. (That was the one I was interested in.)
My Bud got a deal in an all #'e matching K98k. In rough, but can be cleaned up condition, for $200.
Did not need to buy anything anyway.
I probably would'a gone $100 for the Spanish Mauser.
If it was anything like I looked at, no big loss.
