Question for ya,

When painting the trailers are they primed with an etching primer first? How is the aluminum treated prior to painting?

If a primer is used, got a part number?

How about a color code for the white paint?

Don, believe it or not there is more than one shade of white so keep your comments to yourself [8D]

If you are talking about the side panels, the aluminum is painted (in a roll) prior to our receiving it.

It is then cut to length, and rivet punched to order.

The only thing we paint in house, is the undercarriage, and the rear bumpers, (if not SS.)


If that is not it, post again, I will try and find out.

I am sure I can find out the paint code for the side walls, from the touch up guys, if that is what you need. I can find out Tues.

The paint on this trailer is faded pretty bad and I want to repaint it when I get home, I don't think it was primed because I can see the grey aluminum showing through the paint.

I want to spray it with the factory paint code if possible, I'm afraid if I go to Napa and tell them white pint it will end up being too shiny if that makes sense. The paint on these trailers shine but not like a white car would, does a low gloss paint sound right?

I could get crazy and just paint it yellow [:D]
