Can anyone provide me with info on S&W's test fire format for early stainless guns....ie...how many rounds fired in a gun before shipping out...?

I'm pretty sure the pattern was EVERY OTHER CYLINDER! I spent nearly $15-G's on stainless, Smiths back then and every new one had the same poweder burn pattern on the cylinder face: 3-rounds, every other one!

They shoot every other cylinder chamber as far as I've heard. From the looks of the cylinders, that's what I've seen on them.You're welcome. [:D]
