Baikal SXS Bbl. regulating

With specific reference to the MP221 SXS in 45-70 imported by USSG, does anyone have experience with the barrel regulation system they use. In theory, it sounds like it should work, but I guess I'm a little skeptical. I just ordered one, and looking for some hands-on info. THX HAWKSHAW
