picked up several cases marked .22 tcm at the Clark co. range today. it looks like a shortened .221 fire ball. never heard of it, but it sure is cute. what is it for?

    MIKE WISKEY

    .22 Tuason Craig Micromagnum

Armscor, Rock Island Armory and Fred Craig combined to push this idea forward. It's the .223 or any other case like it, with a .378" rim diameter and a length to the shoulder matching the 9x19mm. It is supposed to compete or beat the 5.7x28 created by FN but with a slightly heavier bullet (40 grains).

    Best.

thanks, I thought it a 'waist' to just spit them out and leave them lay on the range. now to work on a small martini to shoot them [;)]

Disagree with Nonsense. It's the 7.62 X 25 Mauser pistol cartridge, necked down to .22. This narrative that Rock Island, Armscor, et al has put out, is just to muddy the waters for legal reasons.

Reed from Oklahoma City was selling pistol barrels, and loaded ammo chambered for the same cartridge. Years before Armscore/Rock Island TCM hit the market.
