Looking for reviews on the Ruger Hawkeye "Target" 308
How is the weight?

    I have the 77 Mk II and am pretty sure finish and name is the only difference between the two. Actually, I have the Mk II in 223, 6.5 Creedmoor and 25.06 - sold off the 308 for no particular reason.

    Aside from my general gripe that Ruger has gone too far "economizing" on finish, I like the 77V line because they have a good laminated stock with a wide, flat forend and an easily adjustable, very nice trigger. I'd like the barrel to be a bit heavier.

    I know Remington has tons of aftermarket stuff and Savage probably beats it for accuracy, but the Ruger 77V line reminds me of the Winchester 70 and it shoots well.
