looking for some info have a 1894 win ,30 wcf,,ser#258172 ,,barrel is 25-1/4 long and half octagon,, and the receiver is nickel thanks cdv

    Are you measuring the barrel length to the bolt face or to the receiver face?

    Standard rifle barrel length is 26". If mismeasured to the receiver face it is about what you say, 25-1/4"..

    And, is the receiver nickel plated (looks like chrome plated to the lesser experienced), or is it simply silver color from the bluing being missing?
