    I had one of the early import Argentine Hi-Power Clones, when they were first sold here in the U.S., circa late 70's early 80's. It held up OK, for the amount of shooting I did with it. This "Detective" your inquiring about is a much later import, that differs in size from the original. I've had no personal experience with it.

    I have one but it is the full-size verson. Very dependable/reliable, as good as any Hi-power including the Browning FN's. Pretty accurate as well. I've only shot ball ammo, though. Maybe someone else has experience with hollowpoint ammo. I didn't buy it as a carry gun. That's why I have only used cheap 9mm.
