Any one else see why this isn't a true 28ga?

Post what you see! The item number is correct, I don't see a typo, it should post.

There is a typo in the link, the 'https://' part. Had to search by item number.

Are you referring to how the '28' stamp is taller than the letters and looks like it was stamped deeper?

Definitely reblued, and the forearm stock may not be correct. He alludes that it is not a "red letter", which is also makes it wrong. The color of the bluing is wrong as well. There were not enough photos to pick it apart further.

Hi everyone: I tried to correct the link.

Anyway look how deep the 28 is stamped, the dead give away "2 3/4 CHAM." and of course they were all Red Letter guns. 28 GA. guns were all 2 7/8 chambers too!

    Buyer Be Ware!

    Regards Dave

    NJretcop: only the 28 ga. had a 2 7/8 cham. The 12,16, & 20 had a 2 3/4 in. the .410 had a 3 inch.

    The "Blue Book" is wrong!!

    I'm confused........(I know, what's new about that[:D] )

The Blue Book says that "MOST" 28ga model 37's were Red Letter.

Also you say all were 2 7/8" chambers. Do you mean all 37's? My model 37 in 12ga has a 2 /3/4" chamber.

What Dave is referring to is the correct chamber length for the 28 gauge Model 37s.

Hello everyone: Jerry, the 28ga guns all had a 2 7/8 chamber. This gun specifically shows 2 3/4. Put that with not being a red letter, I don't "buy" it!!

    Thanks for poating guys

    Regards Dave
