Franchi 48AL Friction Ring Setup

I have acquired a 48AL and I do not know who to set the friction rings for different loads. I am assuming it would be like the Browning A5. Am I correct?

    Yes, I believe that's right. For Hi brass it is set so that it "compresses" the friction ring and for low brass such that it just "pushes" it. No lube used at all.
