Eotech question

Purchased a used 552.A65 Eotech today. I am mounting it on top of a pic rail on my AR. The sight is basically new with the box and all paperwork and screws/tools. There is an orange piece of paper that contains the mounting instructions for the Weaver knurled bolt on the pic rail. It says to turn the knob until resistance is felt then turn 3/4 turn more with a coin and that will get you 17-in lbs.. I ran it up finger tight and could only get about 1/4 more turn with a coin and it was tight. Does this seem right? Guess at the most it falls off. Thanks.

Todd

Thats about right. By going to "finger tight", you went about 1/2 turn past where resistance is first felt. If you dont apply some blue Loc Tite to the threads prior, you could have it come loose after a bunch of firing.
