Garand feed problems!

A friend and I are trying to figure out why his springfield keeps popping the clip up as though it is trying to kick out before it is empty. Sometimes it will not cycle or cycle and not pick up. Any obviuos ideas we may of over looked?

Your friend might want to start with the basics, & buy a copy of "The M1 Garand: Owner's Guide" by Scott Duff. If that isn't enough to solve his problem, he may want to have a service-trained armorer do a technical inspection.
