Buying a XVR today, which scope should I pick up

Just curious. Probably can't afford scope right away but was going to get some ideas of what others have used on this gun. I only have the money for the gun right now but in another month can probably afford a sub 345 dollar scope.


Edit yes it is a 460 XVR. Guess I assummed there wasn't any other XVR names sorry about that.

    This is the 460 XVR revolver? If it is, then I would say a Burris no questions asked.

    Yes burris that's whats on my 500.

    And right from them it was 300.00

    I doubt that anything else will hold up to it other than a Burris.
    The 2x7 would seem to be ideal.......

    I use Burris & Leupold 2x on my heavy recoiling revolvers. A physically smaller scope reduces the stresses on it, IMHO. I have always thought that fixed power scopes are more durable than variables. Also do not need more than 2X on a revolver. 100-125 yds is my max for them and I sure don't need 6-7X at that distance.
