A customer brought the above shotgun into me and I am not real familiar with them. He is having ejection problems and in test firing the gas system seems to be the problem. Its just not pushing the bolt back far enough. Inspecting the gas system, everything seems to be present however at the end of the mag-tube extension there is a hole which the gas escapes. The end cap that goes over the mag-tube extension, also has a hole. Seems to me there should be something in there to block the gas from escaping out of the extension and end cap from the front of the firearm. I am checking to see what one of you guys/gals can advise. Should there be a plug at the end of the extension to force the gas back toward the bolt instead of out the muzzle end and then out of the end cap?

sounds like the famous melted gas ring seal problem to me.
