Like I need another shotgun. I've got some I'll never shoot, but you know how it is; I need one of these.

I just blasted and painted an 870 and an 1100. The 870 has a Hastings barrel with chokes, but the 1100 has a fixed choke barrel which got me to thinking. Should I buy a new barrel for my 1100 or buy a late model shotgun? That's the question.

I hear a lot about the Beretta (391), but I'm not a fan of the safety in front of the trigger so that's out. My buddy shoots a Benelli M1 field that is breech loud, clappy (loose barrel, stock, and forend), always jamming (he doesn't take care of it), and is way to light for my liking. I've heard people bragg Benelli's Super Black Eagle up, but after being around that M1 I'm not sure. I know they use the Benellis a lot down below on the dove front because of the gas free operation they can shoot thousands of rounds with little maintenance. Franchi makes a gas gun, but I don't know much about it. The new Super X two is supposed to be something else. Winchester hasn't built anything decent since my model 12, but that Mossy Oak Waterfowl creation looks pretty intriguing. I hear a lot of complaints about the Browning golds. In fact everyone I know who has one, had one, because they couldn't ditch them fast enough. I'm leaning toward the Winchester, but I haven't held one yet.

What do you guys think? Is there something else I should look at? In the event that I should purchase the Super X, where's a good place as far as price?
