AR-15 Pistol Buffer Tube?

I looked around a bit on here & couldn't find the answer.
On an AR pistol can I legally use a CAR buffer tube with no stock?
The only pistol tube that I have seen that I like is the RRA version, but I can't find those for sale anywhere. I figure I can just use a CAR tube until I get my hands on the one that I want if it's legal.

NO!!!!!
Ok, any idea where I could acquire a RRA style pistol buffer tube, aside from RRA being as they don't seem to have them available?
Also, what if I were to get the CAR buffer tube spun on a lathe & made round, would it then be legal?
if you got it laith spun it would be fine, but it would be clumsy long.. Is the rra stock foam padded?
Nope, but it could easily have one put on. I would prefer a shorter buffer system, but all of them that I have seen or used have functional issues so I can live with the longer tube as long as it works!
