Im looking at a flyer from AIM surplus and this semi in .223 is listed. Made in the U.S.A, first i have ever heard of them. At $669 seems like a fair deal. Anyone have experience with this company ?

They're pretty well known by the AR guys. I happen to have one of their uppers (16" with pinned flash hider) that I use for casual shooting and it works fine. Some people would call them lower end and they may be right, I can only report that my experience is positive and know of many others who would say the same.

O.K., i have never had an AR, and do not know much about them,BUT would like to have one in the near future, beings .223 ammo is cheap and plentiful at the present.
So are bushmaster, armalite,DPMS etc components interchangable for the most part ??

www.aimsurplus has 2008 U.S.A produced FMJ ammo by a Department of Defense contractor for $170 for a 500 round can.
Now since i have never bought .223 ammo, don't know how good of deal that is for you.

For the most part yes. Main thing to remember is that AR 15 lowers fit 223, 7.62X39, 450 Bushmaster type cartridges and AR 10s fit the 308, 260 Rem type - AR 10 is larger than AR 15 and the uppers are not interchangeable.

I know quite a few people are buying the lower receiver only, they cost about $175.00 or so, and stocking them away in case a ban pops up later. Uppers - the part with the barrel & bolt - are not controlled and can be added later.
