Remington R15 question

Is the barrel on the R15 series of rifles have a chrome lined barrel as do most of the other AR-15 clones? If it doesn't, can any of the after market AR 223 barrels that are free floated and chrome lined be attached to the R15 frame as an exchange from the factory barrel?

Remington's customer service line has been tied up all dy so I figured someone on this site would know as much as they do....

    I know the Bushmaster Varmitner (or Predator 20") guns are not and that is what the R-15 is. These guns are intended as target guns. Chrome lined barrels are not as accurate from what I understand.
