S&W DATES?

I bough a pair of S&W revolvers (from clickclick here), what were the years of mgf. for the 19-3 and 29-2 revolvers?

    The 19-3 started in 1967-1977. The 29-2, 1961-1982

    The S&W model 19-3 began in 1967 with the relocation of the rear sight leaf screw and in 68 had the deletion of the diamond grips. The 19-4 followed in 1977. So the 19-3's ran from 67 to 77.

    The model 29-2 began in 1962 when they changed the cylinder stop and eliminated the trigger guard screw. There were 3 other changes in the 29-2 in 1968, 1969 and 1979 when they discontinued the 6.5" barrel for the 6" barrel. So the 29-2's run was from 1962 to 1982 when the 29-3's started.
