Can someone help please? A friend of my mom's is selling a MINT (yes, 100% condition, original box and papers) and the person is supposed to be coming tomorrow. Offered $1250 just by description and picture. I can't believe you can't find a value anywhere! Yahoo has a post saying the 28th edition says 100% is $2700? Serial from 1915... 26277.

Please help!! Can anyone get me a number range tonight?

Hello jrsmin I don't intend to sound harsh but 24 hours before a sale is not the best time to try to determine Value on an item is not the best way to get a true value on an Item that is what you seem to have . the 380 hammerless is not rare as Thousands and thousands were made. What IS RARE is one in 100 % original condition with box and papers. I personall think that $1250.00 for a type II pocket would be top of the scale. the best way to be sure is look at past sales of some of the high end auction houses that have GUN only auctions. At this late date I don't think this is possible.

EDIT I have a 2 year old BLUE BOOK and they have 380 pocket 100 % as $1000.00 within the last 6 months all bets are off on collector item guns. IMHO collector grade guns the price if anything has gone down at the same time ammo and military type fire-arms have gone wild if you can even find them. again IN my opinion $2700.00 is a pipe dream.

Thanks! I don't mind harsh, it's not my gun and I'm not profitting from it, and just found out it's up to be sold tomorrow. Just a last ditch effort to try and ensure my mom's 60yr old widowed friend is getting a fair price. Thought someone might have a blue book?

Just got my 29th edition of the BB, & it shows a Type II at $1,595 in 100% condition. But, like Perry Shooter says, the last 6 months have been harsh on the collectible market.

If I collected that area, I would think $1,250 would be a fair price if as described. But, it BETTER be mint at that price, & the bore BETTER be bright & shiny.

For what its worth several years ago I paid a grand for a mint 1908 (1927 vintage).380 colt, matching box and papers(parts breakdown diagram was a repo) If your mothers friends Colt is mint that is a fair price given the state of our economy. http://www.coltautos.com/ very best
