remmington ml700

help!! im looking for a conversion kit to convert my ml700 to 209 primers and no one has any, ive tried cabelas, brownels, and every sport shooting shop around my area to no sucess. can anyone direct me in the right direction or refer me to someone who still makes these? I have three of these guns and need at least one conversion kit. thanx t

    The best way to convert your 700 to 209 primers is to trade it in for a TC Omega, Triumph, or a version of the Encore. Other than that, remington made a kit with a replacement striker and breechplug/nipple for the 209.

    You might check Sportsman's Warehouse if there is one near you. They have a website but I don't think you can search inventory on it. Anyway, I bought one of the Remington ML700 209 conversion units from them a year or two ago. . . .before they closed the local store. You might also be able to get one direct from Remington. If those options fail, and you still want one e mail me as I never got around to use the one I bought and its still in the package. . .around here somewhere. Along with 50 and 54 Cal ML700s if you need more of them. I concur with tsnipe's earlier post though suggesting you try another manufacturer. Had good luck with a TC Encore 50 this year; which comes with 209 ignition.
