Pre 64 MDl 70 Win. Featherlight value

I have a pre-64 Mdl 70 30.06 Featherlight I am thinking of selling. It is in good used shape with the original stock which has been refinished with Watco oil. Bore is great, bluing worn and it has a few scratches as you would expect a hunting rifle to have. It has been shot as much as you would expect a hunting rifle to be, except for a 20 year hiatus wit the original owner. I presently shoot about 20 rounds per year from it.

I am wondering what a fair market value would be (range based on your interpretation of its overall shape.

    Blktail;
    Welcome to the forum. As kumate says without pics hard to say. The featherweight came out in mid 1952 ran an Al butt plate for a while and then finished up with black plastic. Refinish hurts the price. Still have original sights? Front sight hood?
    My humble guess would be $500-1000 range.

    The stock being refinished is the biggest minus for value. Honest wear wear is alright, but anything that is not original decreases value. As has been said, somewhere between $500 & $1,000. The model 70, 30-06 feather weight I have was bought new in 1956 for $103 in Portland, OR.
