I am looking for a rough value for a gun my uncle got new it is a pre 64 Winchester that was 375HH , it was bought new in (I believe) 1947 and I was told it was sent to Weatherby and re-chambered to 375wby ... The gun is in good shape with less than a box shells shot thru it ..

I see you are in Canada and can't speak for what the value is there BUT in the U.S. a 375 H&H 1947 model 70 will bring BIG BUCKS one that has been re-chambered to 375 WBY might have cut the value in half. I would either get a chamber cast or see if a WBY cartridge will Chamber. I would not fire until I found out for sure what you have.

Hi---Love that .375 Wby---I recently purchased a Rem. 700 Classic that had been rechambered to the .375 Wby. I paid $800 as I recall. I would think that a Win pre 64 would bring a little more. That cartridge reduces the no. of potential buyers, (as opposed to a .270 or .30-06) though. Also, the recent introduction, and availability of the Ultra mag, and the Ruger .375, split up the pool of buyers.
