Without pictures any thing as to value will be nothing but a wild A** guess. sort of like I have a 57 chev. with a V8 what is it worth[?] The Winchester model 54 is not RARE the rifle you have because of the low serial number was most likely made 1925-1926 but we need the EXACT serial to know for sure The value if in original MINT condition no extra holes drilled for scope no refinish of metal or stock and no recoil pad added or stock cut then YES it WOULD BE of high value if it is modified or heavy wear then it is a nice shooter.

More than likely, it was manufactured in early 1927. The cartridge chambering is the most common of the (10) standard cartridges offered. Winchester manufactured slightly more than 50,000 Model 54s between April of 1925 and December of 1936. Only those that are unaltered (no extra holes drilled & tapped, or cut for a recoil pad), and in excellent condition will bring a premium. If you can post several pictured of your Modle 54, that would help us to evaluate it.
