What's it worth - Palmetto 12 gauge??

I have a Palmetto 12 gauge that is in avg. to good condition and was curious to what it might be worth. There really aren't much telling labels to the type other than it's a 12 gauge, has "Palmetto" with "Model" under it inscribed on the left hand side.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

    Hello Chris,

Palmetto was a trade name used by the Edward K. Tryon Co. of Philadelphia, PA. (in business from the late 1890s to the mid 1930s). I believe that Crescent Arms actually made the guns for them.

If the gun is a single barrel single-shot, it is worth about $50 on a good day. If it is a SxS (double barrel), it is worth $100 - $200, and is best served as a Mantle decoration.
