Tikka T3 Lite

This is probably a stupid question but here goes. I want a light carry rifle chambered in 204. I've looked at this Tikka and like what i see and read about it but I also assumed that it wasn't chambered in 204. Last night I found out that this rifle is indeed chambered in 204 but Beretta doesn't import it to the US. It does go to Canada. How does a person go about getting one of these without spending a small fortune. Thanks. Dave

Here's an easier and cheaper way. http://v4.beta.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=119394822
Easier, yes, cheaper, no, and a lot less ergonomic, and a lot less accurate. Ruger's quality controll has been flushed down the toilet. The gunwriters get paid by the companies to do write-ups on thier products, by means of advertising in the magazines they write for.
If you are going to go with other than a Tikka, go to the CZ 527. I have heard nothing but good of these, and I have a couple of their rimfires.

Simply ask your nearest Beretta dealer to order one for you and don't take no for an answer. If they make it for Canadians you should be able to get it here. Those that suggested the CZ are doing you a favor. Best bang for the buck in a varmint sporter. In defense of the Ruger, neat little rifle but they have lost my trust.-Mike
I'm kind of fussy when it comes to accuracy and from what I can determine th T3 can deliver it. I might be interested in the MI CZ527. They hype that one out at 5.7 Lbs. Seeing is believing there. I haven't found one gun company yet that posts honest wieghts on their guns. I wiegh everyone on a postal scale. That does look interesting tho. How does it shoot?

From the factory look at nickle sized groups of five shots. After floating the barrel, bedding the action and barrel break in mine shoots 5 inside a dime @ 100 yds.

We're talking about a pound difference +- in various guns. For the money, and mabey at any price, the CZ is the hands down winner. With a set trigger yet. The American Manufactures do make some quality guns, but CZ is EATING THEIR LUNCH!!! I have yet to see a CZ that is not well under an inch out of the box, (varmint calibers). If you have not seen the CZ USA catalogue, get one. They make more combinations of stocks, calibers, models, etc. than any Mfg. that I know of!!!
