in the link listed above, is this in fact a Luftwaffe holster proofed by the eagle and 21? is it rare as advertised? are they collectible here in the US? is there a site available showing Luftwaffe proof marks (i could not find one)?

thanks in advance.

The standard reference work for military holsters is "Holsters and Shoulders Stocks of the World" by Anthony Vanderlinden. It identifies the holster you have shown, as a standard model made for the 1922 Browning during the Second World War. The code "jsd" was used by the Gustav Reinhardt Co. A holster manufacturer located in Berlin.

I can't find any specific reference to the marking on the holster "Eagle 21" being used for holsters for the Luftwaffe?

Here's a list of known HeersWaffenamt codes and makers codes. Don't confuse the two. If its says HeersWaffenamt preceeding the number, it's a Waffenamt.
Waa21 is a metalworking facility. It's no proof that the Luftwaffe was the recipient of the holster IMO.
Rufe, this would be good to bookmark.
