I wanted to thank all the people who posted, and gave me plenty information to help to guide me in my other thread by the same subject title. It reached 10 post before I was able to say thanks.

Just to let you know she did try shooting a Sig Sauer .380, and had no problems handling it, but I was thinking a .38 might be better defense wise for her. We will be going to a friends property on Friday and doing some plink shooting with his wifes S&W .38 airweight lady smith revolver, and few other semi's including a 9mm and .22. I will let you guys know later how it went. Thanks again for all the post, and if you like to close this thread mod, feel free to do so.

Glad you were able to arrange for her to shoot some different guns.

If she tries others and continues to prefer the .380, don't feel she is poorly armed. A short .38 Special is not enough more powerful to matter, catalog ballistcs are for longer barrels than that Ladysmith has.

Yes my wife has shot it and is comfortable with it
What does me paying for the ammo have anything to do with any of this????

I still prefer a revolver and I feel if you can't get the job done ( home defense) with 5-6 shots then the gunfight is over and you've more than likely have lost and the availability of more rounds would not matter
