I have been looking for my first center fire rifle. I saw a new Remington 770 in 30-06 with a scope (Bushnell 3X9) with a 22" barrel in black synthetic stock for $329 at MC Sports. It also has a $50 rebate from Remington. Seemed like a geat deal, to good to be true. Is it that good? I was surprised as I have never seen any other "great" deals at MCs.

I was on the remington website looking for remington 770 long action stock, they have replacements, but its listed as 710, 715, and the 770. There is no option to choose, so my question is.. Will a stock from a 710 fit the new 770. i have not shot one but i have seen alot of them.yes they replaced the 710.upon looking at the 770 it appears to be better built than the 710.i belive i would save some more money and just advance to the 700 sps line.they replaced the adl.the sps 700,s are known shooters.

NO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDD!!! Plain and simple .. I have sent 4 back to Remington in just the past month for bolts that freeze up and WILL NOT function.. They are sleeved and pure junk !! Buy a Savage 110 or 111 or Marlin XL-7..

guess remmy can not get it right. even marlin is trying to get in on the cheap rifles now.i like the xl7 but the callibers are very limited.
