using Uberti parts in a pietta 1858

hi.. at risk of sounding ignorant, I'm trying to upgrade the looks of a pair of pieta .44 1858 Remmies I own.
Question is, is it possible to use Uberti hammers on these or would there be some drastic dimentional differences? Reason is Id like the nice looking hammer checkering at the spur, rather than the crude cheap scoring on pietas.. any info is appreciated..

I'd either soften the spur and improve the checkering or try a current Uberti hammer. You could try this question of interchangeability on Dixie Gun Works.
