Trigger on Mosin M38

Does anyone know of an easy way to lighten the trigger pull on a Mosin M38? The one I just got shoots pretty good groups but the trigger is much heavier than my M44 or M91/30 and it isn't worth taking a $75 rifle to a gunsmith for any kind of trigger job.

I have experimented with the flat trigger springs and found some relief on a couple rifles. There are many sources for replacement springs, I bought several and mixed and matched parts until I found an improved trigger through a lighter spring.

Thanks for the information, guys.

Tried the .026 shims with drilled hole. Helped the trigger pull but left me with the bolt coming out in my hand when I worked the action so removed the shim and it stopped. I'll have to look into that Huber trigger.
