CAN ANYONE HELP ID AND DATE THIS AMMO. IT IS HEADSTAMPED (REM-UMC 44 XL). THE BRASS IS ABOUT THE LENGTH OF A 45 LONG COLT BUT FULL RIMMED. IT IS LOADED WITH RED RUBBER CAPSULES FULL OF ABOUT #8 SHOT AND THE CAPSULES ARE SPLIT TO DISPERSE THE SHOT. IF YOU WANT A PICTURE SEE MY LISTING UNDER KOSMO113. THANKS GUYS.

    While I like RF and Shotloads, I'm not into the production dating of such critters, and I don't have my referances with me, although pre-WW2 would be my guess.

    Forerunner of the .410 shotshell. Most likely PAPER capsules. Fair value as collectors cartridge, depending on condition. Or you could just ship them to me, and I won't even charge you to dispose of them (cause I'm a nice guy) [:p]
