SKS Dragunov Stock

Anyone familiar with the SKS-D rifle being placed in a Choate or ATI Dragunov stock, does the Dragunov stock allow the SKS-D rifle to operate correctly and can you clean the rifle without having to remove the stock as I have heard of some possible issues, which Dragunov stock would be best for the SKS-D rifle, Choate or ATI or any other ideas?

I find that these synthetic stocks tend to make the gun front heavy and off balance. However, the Choate stock looks to be most disassembly friendly.

The ATI Dragunov stock looks much more refined and more like a Dragunov stock should and I like the sleek look to it as well.

Then go ahead and get it. You have to take the stock off an SKS to clean it thoroughly anyways.

Yeah, I think your right, its just a you know what, do you have an SKS-D rifle in a Dragunov stock?

No, I am willing to bet you will have to do some fitting.

Hell I had to do some fitting to get a Tapco stock on my friends Yugo.

Yeah, I will probably have to fit the stock to the rifle, but that's okay as from what I have read it isn't supposed to be too bad.

and has a Harris bipod? attached to the stock and not the bayonet lug allowing for the bayonet to attach to the lug; any ideas on another decent non rail bipod besides the Harris that will attach directly to the stock like that instead of the barrel that might work?

I have used versa pods on my rifles before. All you need is a sling swivel stud in the stock.
