Any thoughts on scopes for a 450 thumper? Plan to use it for moose and target, @75 yds. Getting older and need some basic magnification, but must stand up to the 450 and not knock out the right eye socket.

For 75 yards I would look at a 1-4X variable or something 4x fixed power.

(Sample list is demo's and discontinued optics at a good discount, has full "new" warranty)
Swarovski rail system is described as;
The `SR' rail is an integral extension of the one piece tube, machined from a solid billet of hardened aluminum alloy. This rail system provides additional reinforcement to the scope tube, and prevents rube compression or twist caused by misaligned or warped ring and base systems. These problems can adversely affect accuracy and dependability. It is IMPOSSIBLE for the scope to shift position under recoil!
3.75" eye relief should be plenty to prevent crescent moon scars.
