Can anyone tell me the value of a 1898 Springfield Armory # 133778. It has a 22 inch barrel and is a carbine. All original. Very good condition. Thanks.

    Your serial number falls into the known range of the 5,000 1898 carbines, barely. If it is a arsenal original 1898 carbine in very good to excellent condition your probably looking at between $3000 & $4000. Best thing to do would be to locate a knowledgeable and honest local dealer or collector for a hands on appraisal.
