Leupold VX I question.

Shouldn't a new Leupold VX I scope be so marked? I just bought a new VX I and no where on the scope does it have the model marked. I have a VX II I got 2 years ago and it has VX II stamped on the bell. But not this new one.

I have both the VX-II and VX-III in stock and they are marked as such on the bell. I will have the VX-I in tomorrow and will try to remember and check for you. All of these were produced for 2007. RJSnow

My 3-9x40 VX-I is clearly marked 3 times on the objective lens.

Just got the VX-I in; it has a matte finish and upon first glance it did not appear to be marked on the front bell. However, upon closer examination it is so noted in three places. We had to get it into the direct sunlight to easily see the writing. RJSnow

Saxon - There are a lot of fakes floating around right now. I am not exactly sure what the differences are between the fakes and the originals. I hope you bought the scope from a reliable source.
