I just bought a S&W 3000 12 gauge and would like to hear from anyone who has experience with one.

    Hi,
You are now the proud owner of an upgraded version of a Remington 870.
These guns were built by a company in japan (Howa) and sold to S&W and
later on to Mossberg. You will note the gun has a stainless mag tube and
pretty much everything else will match an 870.
Your gun was built in field models ,as well as skeet versions.
    The 3000 was a pump , the 1000 was a semi-auto that copied the Rem 1100
