Is it legal to ship a Rifle scope from the US to Canada? If yes, are there special procedures to follow to avoid customs issues. Thanks in advance

Call it a friggin' telescopic optical device on the customs dec and be done with it. I cannot for the life of me understand how this could be an issue. If it is a normal un-aided optical sight (i.e., not an illuniated retical, night vision etc...) it should be like ordering a Mead telescope from someone on E-Barf. Having said that there might be some weird, psuedo politically correct arcane law in Canada precluding it...I am not a lawyer but would still be very surprised to hear it was verboten.

Apparently there is some wacky regulation...I don't remember which side of the border it comes from..there was quite a thread going on one of the other forums concerning a scope shipped from here to there and "never arrived"..There was a side discussion as to whether it was held up in customs.... Sorry I can't remember where I saw it..MY CRS is almost terminal...

I sell a lot of stuff on the other big auction site. I send stuff everywhere without much thought. Check USPS.com - it takes a bit of navigating, but you will get the correct answer.
