any thoughts on using a ultrasonic cleaner to clean a pistol

    depends on what kind of materials it is made of many are Compatible but SOME ARE NOTsame goes with type of finish. Moving parts need lube to prevent WEAR you need to get to ALL moving parts to lube after ULTRASONIC cleaning . If you have to take pistol apart to lube what needs to be lubed why not take it apart first to clean.

    It might get it clean, but how will you know unless you take it apart and look, plus it will need lubed as Perry pointed out.

    I like Shooter's Choice or Ed's Red, moose milk for black powder. I make my jags fit gun just right with the patches I use. A bronze brush can be helpful. I like Rig gun grease in both stainless and regular flavor and break free.
