Is it true that Remington is dropping these rifles from the Marlin line? Were the rifles that are stamped North Haven, CT made by marlin before the buyout?

I checked their website and they are not listed now. A real shame.

To bad, it was a great gun for the money.

I bought one a few years ago to shoot several thousand rounds of corrosive ammo (rather then use one of my "good" guns), but found it to be very accurate and comfortable with a great adjustable trigger, free floated barrel, good stock. Not finished as well as a Weatherby or Sako, but shoots as well or better at 200 yds (never tried it over that).

Cuts down the competition for the Remington brand since Marlin is not known for Bolt guns.
