Is a FN F2000 assualt rifle able to be legally purchased in the US? If so, what would be the price range?

Us PFC's will never get our hands on one. LEO's with deep pockets ( Homeland Defense ) might be able to score some?

These rifles are not available for sale to individuals. A Class 1 Importer can bring them in for sales to the military and law enforcement with a demo letter. Class 3 dealers could obtain a restricted sales sample from the importer for LE demos with a letter, but these restricted samples cannot be retained after the dealer gives up his license...that is as far as it goes. These are interesting rifles and I really lke that the empty cases are "pushed" out the front of the weapon rather than sent flying out of a side ejection port. You can fire about five rounds before the fisrt case drops out. I am sorry to disappoint you but there is now way for an ordinary citizen to own one of these weapons.

OF COURSE the Snowman has provided you with a useful link (where do you find this stuff?). An individual officer could not obtain one of these weapons for himself, they would have to be purchased with agency funds, although his department could sign the rifle out to him as his duty weapon and, depending on agency policy, he could take it home with him. Even so, when he left the force this weapon would have to be surrendered, either back to his department, or to another Class 3 dealer who also has a LE demo letter for the rifle.
