I have a Desert Eagle in 357 that I cannot sell. 1st generation, blued, looks new & beautiful. I can't even sell it for 750.00
So a local shop has a NIB Ruger Deerfield 44 mag. with a Simmons Scope with box. gun has not been fired.
He will trsde me straight up. I have lost interest in the DE. slightly underpowed for the hunting I want to do, and to much to carry for SD.
Opinions??

Tough decision. Couple years ago I'd say no just because of the money difference in "worth". However, now the Deerfields are bringing close to $700 (you can still find them on auction occasionally for $500-550). The Deerfields are fun, practical carbines and I think you've pretty much hit the nail on the head concerning DE's. If you think you'll get some good use/enjoyment out of the Ruger then I say go for it. See if he'll throw in some ammo just to sweetin' the deal.[8D]

Only problem I have with my Ruger 44 carbine (no warning on barrel) is that I let the wife shoot it once, and now she thinks it is hers.... Get the shop to throw in a few boxes of ammo to get closer to the 750...

Sell it here or trade it. I have traded many times to try something else. It doesn't work in my favor most of the time but I don't care, its a hobby...imo,,nambu
