SA M1A Serial #

What would you guess value to be it has TRW bolt. Someone has added a side folding stock. 95-98%
It is a Scout model. SA told me it was produced in '84 according to SA. serial # 273XXX

    I did find out That this IS a somewhat rare factory variation that SA did produce, So the folding stock came on the M1A at the factory acoording to some knowledgeable people. ANY OPINIONS? thanks

    I didn't know they made Scouts in 84, so I learned something.
    I thought they were Bush rifles then.
    Anyway, If the rifle has GI parts, except obviously for the barrel it is about $1400. The stocks sell for about $500.

    I'm confused about the '84 timeline. My NM M1A (pictured below) serNo 044454....was it manu'f in the very early '90's??? That's when I bought it new, at a gunshop that had ordered it about that time.
